Being Luigi

Halloween is funny. It’s the only day of the year where you can walk around half naked or in an extremely offensive costume and have people be chill with it. It also brings out the goofiness in many, like me. Since there aren’t many things in life that I take seriously, I always choose to go the silly route with my costumes, hence why I dressed as a horseman in 2011 and Drake in 2015. … More Being Luigi

Vidyas and Vinyl: Good Music and Game Pairings

Great music, sound effects, and voice acting are crucial components of a classic video game. However, in my experiences, I’ve found more enjoyment in turning on subtitles, muting the game sound, and spinning a record while I play. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate when a game has crisp sound and a phenomenal original soundtrack, … More Vidyas and Vinyl: Good Music and Game Pairings

5 Psychedelic Moments in Gaming that Bent my Mind

Psychedelia is beautiful thing. It’s a phenomenon that comes from a completely uninhibited state of mind where creativity flourishes and the bizarre is embraced. Some of the most critically acclaimed art ever made could be considered psychedelic because it dared to take risks on unconventional concepts for the sake of artistic progression. Frankly, I haven’t been this obsessed with a game since Witcher 3, and I doubt any other game released this year will top it. Simply put, it’s divine. … More Recommended: Persona 5

Oh E3 press events. We wait all year for you to come, and in the blink of an eye, you’re gone. Some years you overload us with excitement, and others you leave us utterly disappointed. Unfortunately, E3 2017 falls closer to the latter. Although there were some exciting announcements (Beyond Good and Evil 2!) and details revealed on anticipated games, there wasn’t too much to jump for joy about. … More E3 2017 Press Events: The Good, The Bad, and The Disappointing

5 Most Underrated Fighting Games Ever Made

Because of the recent hype surrounding Tekken 7 and Injustice 2, I’ve been thinking about the fighting games I’ve played throughout my life and which have left a lasting impression on me. Moreover, I’ve been reminiscing on the ones I particularly enjoyed that didn’t get as much praise as they should have. These are the games that have been overshadowed by the Street Fighters, Mortal Kombats, and Soul Calibers of the world. These are the most underrated fighting games of all time. … More 5 Most Underrated Fighting Games Ever Made
